A conditionally convicted person and a conditionally early released person with a low risk assessment have the right to appear at any probation bureau of Georgia. The regime established by law may also include the performance of other duties provided for by the legislation of Georgia.

1¹. The probation officer is authorized, on the basis of an assessment of the convicted person's risk and needs, to impose on a conditionally convicted person and a conditionally early released person the obligation to undergo the relevant mandatory rehabilitation course established by the Minister.

1². The probation officer is authorized to require a conditionally convicted person and a conditionally early released person for a drug crime, periodically or in the case of reasonable suspicion, to undergo the relevant narcological examination within 5 working days and to submit the appropriate conclusion. If, as a result of undergoing the narcological examination provided for by this paragraph, the convicted person is found to have used a narcotic substance, except for the use of this substance by the convicted person for medical purposes, the probation bureau is obliged to notify the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia of this fact.

1⁴. Failure by the convicted person to comply with the requirements defined by paragraphs 1¹ and 1² of this Article, or deliberate evasion of their fulfillment, is grounds for applying to the court with the corresponding submission provided for by subparagraphs “e”, “f” or “g” of paragraph 1 of Article 21 of this Law.

9. A third or more violation of the established regime by a convicted person may also become grounds for an authorised person of the probation bureau to apply to the court by submission. Together with the obligation to pay a fine/a warning or for failure to fulfil the imposed duties, the established regime may be changed and made more stringent for the convicted person.

10. If, during the probation period, the convicted person is no longer registered in the unified database of socially vulnerable families and his/her socio-economic status score is higher than the threshold score established by the Government of Georgia for receiving a subsistence allowance, upon the next violation of the established regime the convicted person shall be fined, according to the sequence of the violation, in the amount of the fine corresponding to that provided for by paragraphs 8, 8¹ and 8² of this Article.
