He is represented before the Court by Ms N. Katsitadze, a lawyer practising in Tbilisi.2.  The facts of the case, as submitted by the applicant, may be summarised as follows.3.  Between early April and late June 2009 thousands of opposition supporters held demonstrations in various parts of Tbilisi, as well as in a few other major cities of the country, on a daily basis, demanding resignation of President M. Saakashvili and his Government.
