The applicant alleges that on 22-23 March 2019 he was ill-treated by police officers in the Gurjaani police department with the purpose of extracting an incriminating statement against his friend. Multiple injuries were established on his body and face during his visual examination upon his transfer to Kakheti temporary detention centre on 23 March 2019. On 30 March 2019 an investigation was initiated under Article 333 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power).
