Prca.trtlon ol dcl,ry.
The Contracting Parties shall adopt, within the limits of their respective
national legislation. All apptoprialc mcasurcs to reduce any unnecessaty delay
of thcir vcicts in ports ;d io simplify, as far as possiblc thc carryng out.of
administlative, customs (in the case of C,?rus) / crossing the econo,lrrc border
(in thc case of Ceorda) and sanitary formalitics aPPlicablc in Porls.
ARTICLE 8

(l) Esch of lhe Contracting Partica shall recognizc the natronalily of a vessel of
thc othcr Contracting Party on the basis of thc documerts on board that

vesscl issucd by the compctcnt suthoritics of the othcr Contracting Patty
in accordancc with its national legislation in forcc.
(2)Thc ship's documents on board, including documcnts in rclation to the
' ' tonuagc and thc crcw, issucd or rccot rzcd by thc comPctcnt authoritics oI
one C;ntractinS Paity shall bc acctpted by the competent bodies of the
other Colttracting Party.
(3) Whenever a change of narne or ownership or other Particular's of a vessel of
one Cont acting Party takes plac! at a port of the other Contracti[8 Party,
the competent authorities of the other Cofltracting Party shall €llow -thc
vessel to sail with documcuts scnt by the Register of Ships ot the first
Contracting Paity bY facsimile.

(l) Each of the contracting Panics shall rccognize thc identity docum.nts
issucd by thc compctcnt authoritics of thc othcr Contracting Party to
membcrs of thc crcw who are nalionals of that Contracti[g Party and
shall grent to the holdcrs of such documents the rights Providcd fot in
Anicles l0 srdll of thc prcsent Agrrcment undcr the conditions
stipulated therein.
(2) Thc idcntity docurncnts arc:

to thc extcnt possible, to any Percon who is neither a national of Georgia
nor a Cypriot and holds an identity document other than that mentioned
in paraSraph (3) of this Article.

The Contracting Per'ties agree to nender to each other, within the available
po!3ibilitic!, tcchnicrl assistancc in dcveloping merchant flects including
tralning of seafarers. For this purpose thc Contrecting Parties shall encourage,
support and facilitate cooperation between thei! training instltutions and
maritimc oryanisatiors.
ARTICLE 13

(l) For the seJe manning of mcrchant veslcls of the onc Contracting Pa.rty
with qualilied pcrsoDncl, its shipownels may engage, in accordance with
its rclcvant lcgislation in forcc, qual icd nationals of thc othcr
Contacting Party. Thc tcrms of employrnent of such nationels on ves!.ls
oI the othcr Contrecting Petty shaU be approvcd by thc compctent
authoritics or the 8ea.fa.rer's union6, aa the case raay be, of the Eeararer'e
country. ln this regard each Contrecting Party she.ll exert its b€st efforts
to cnrure that therc tetms of eEployment arc adhcted to.
(2)Any disputes arising out of the icspective conhact of employment
betwecn a shipowncr of the one Cootlacting Party and a scafarer of the
othcr ConEacting Party shall be referrcd for settlement solely to the
cxclusivc jurisdictron of the compctent Courts or Authorities of either
Contracting Pe.rty.

Party, in accordancc with thc lattet's legislation in fofce.

contractin8 Party, as wcll as rcPlcscntalivca of shipPing cntcrPrisca rcSistcrcd
in thc tcr;tory of the othcr Contrecting Party, to enter its ports end bosrd
vesscls of the other Contracting Party, in order to perform duties related to the
actrvities of thesc vesscls and thcir crews.

The prescnt Agrechcnt may be amcndcd or supplcmentcd by mutual consent of
thc Contracting Partics by a sqparate Protocol and shall entcr into forcc in
eccordencc with the provisions of patagraph {l) of Aniclc 23. The Protocols
