Article 1🔗

The Organic Law of Georgia 'On Georgian Citizenship' (Gazette of the Parliament of Georgia, No. 5, March, 1993, Art. 66) shall be supplemented with the following Article 27¹:

"Article 271. Conditions for Admission to Georgian Citizenship for Persons with Repatriate Status

1. The requirements of Article 26 of this Law shall not apply to the admission of persons with repatriate status to Georgian citizenship.

2. The granting of Georgian citizenship to persons with repatriate status shall be carried out in accordance with the Resolution of the Government of Georgia 'On Granting Georgian Citizenship to Persons with Repatriate Status under a Simplified Procedure'."

This Law shall enter into force from 1 January 2009.
